Welcome to Rugby. This site is to promote the positives of our lovely town, fantastic shopping, exceptional cafes and restaurants, famous and exclusive brands, quality independent stores and boutiques, a world famous school, a fabulous art gallery, all within a historical setting and a heritage to be proud of.

Nestling in the heart of the undiscovered Warwickshire countryside, Rugby holds the unique position as the home of rugby football and, as you would expect, many of its attractions stir the passions of the rugby enthusiast.

There is Rugby School's Close where it all started and where you can see the hallowed turf where the game began; tour Rugby School, historic learning site and birthplace of the game, and explore the Rugby School Museum, which brings to life the heritage of this famous school, reflecting its place in the history of Rugby and the lives of its notable pupils.

The Webb Ellis Rugby Football Museum is located in the very building which has been at the heart of rugby ball production since 1842, a tradition which continues today under Webb Ellis Ltd. Here you can can learn about the development of the Rugby ball, trace the history of the game and its development around the world and soak up the atmosphere at being at the heart of rugby history.

There is, however, much more to Rugby than rugby......

The town and borough has much more to offer than its unique connection with the famous game. It has links to great literary figures such as Rupert Brooke, Matthew Arnold and Lewis Carroll.

Whether you are looking for the perfect destination for a short break or a great day out , Rugby is the ideal destination...so why not try Rugby.
